Upcoming Trip - Go-Karting
The society has organised a go-karting trip to the Bristol Raceway on the Thursday 30 October 08. The Bristol Raceway, is the South West’s most popular Karting arena with the largest circuit and flyover in the area!
The trip will start from UWE on the Thursday. We are taking a minibus to the Raceway, which will be leaving from UWE at 4:45pm. We will be back at UWE around 8pm that evening. The go-karting will last for about 2 hours and consists of a Grand Prix style race where every driver takes part in a practise session, heats and semi-finals. Then the top drivers qualify for the Grand Final.
The total price per person is £45. This is an all inclusive price and will cover everything you will need. (This is the student price + reduced group rate. So you are getting a good deal!)
For those with there own transport who wish to drive to the Raceway themselves, they are most welcome to do so. However, you must be at the raceway by 5:20. The raceway address is below:

The society plans to run some fresh and exciting trips for this new academic year!
Last year we had a very successful trip to visit an ex-British Airways Concorde 216, at its resting place at Filton airfield. Where you have a guided tour and walk around in the aircraft. Interesting note: Concord's first UK trip started from Bristol, also its last supersonic trip ended there.
This year we plan to visit Concord again. Details of the next trip will be posted on the website, so check back soon.
Also last year we visited @Explore in Bristol, which was interesting as well as educational. This coming year, we are planning for more events and trips, and visiting science
and technology exhibits!
