Society AGM
Tuesday, 4 March, 2P47, 20:00
Facebook Event - Forum Discussion
The Society is inviting all members and non-members to attend our Annual General Meeting (AGM) !
We will have an overview of the society's main activities throughout the year, and discuss new and better proposals to improve our society. We must discuss our constitution as well. Only members can vote on issues discussed, and the candidates standing.
You can stand for any of the positions mentioned below (only one from the primary, but you can take on as many from the secondary positions). All positions are Part Time. For those that cant attend the meeting, write a small paragraph about what you intend to do and who you are (in case someone is standing against you), and email it to the current committee. Job sharing roles are possible (two people for the same position).

We are hostiing the Sheep robots from the Bristol Robotics Laboratory. Come and join the competition!
Between 11AM and 5PM on Sat 22nd and Sun 23rd September in 2Q Foyer!
And while you are at it, join the new:
The Bristol Robotics Laboratory has kindly offered the UWE Technology Society their Sheep robots, to demonstrate the difference between Autonomous and Remote controlled robots.
These sheep are cuddly and lovely and cute robots. They can behave nicely, or badly (Good sheep! or Bad sheep!) But watch out! Three sheep may already be the beginning of an army? We need people to shepherd them and make sure they dont go out of control !

We had a great and funny deathmatch session on Half Life with the Gravity Guns.
Two multiplayer sessions with Worms Armageddon ended with some funny and controversial results.
The as-usual Quake 3 Arena was enjoyed throughout by all members, with our games champion protecting his title.
...and finally not to forget, the... ahum... university-student-jokes from Rich.

A new website for the UWE Technology Society has been launched.
The president, Florian Mertens took the role of webmaster by designing and coding the site, and thanks to Paul for his excellent hosting server! For feedback, comments or suggestions, email president at uwetechnology dot co dot uk.
The style is based on the default forum style, but you are welcome to create your own! Have a look at the current stylesheet.
The website will also feature a gallery, to display pictures of past events, and to let potentially other members post their photos online.
